Toondah Harbour a game-changer for the Redlands Coast tourism industry

The revitalisation of Toondah Harbour will be the catalyst for a tourism boom that will put the Redlands Coast on the map as one of Australia’s top destinations for tourists.

Injecting new energy and investment to the region, the new Toondah Harbour is forecast to attract an additional 50,000 visitors to the Redlands each year.

The centrepiece to this wonderful recreation and leisure hub will be a new ferry precinct to encourage tourism and improve the commute for North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) residents.

The new state-of-the-art port will increase the capacity for charter and additional operators, which will facilitate investment in exciting new nature and culture-based eco-tourism experiences for the Redlands Coast.

The upgrade will also include an active port promenade, ferry-bus interchange, bicycle facilities and 1,010 car parking spaces for ferry users.

A recreational area will feature an education and cultural centre, while a marina plaza with a hotel and boutique retail and dining precinct will attract new life to the region.

An adventure playground with a South Bank-style lagoon and water play area, will provide the perfect destination for locals and holiday makers. Other amenities will include walking trails, picnic areas, kayak launching points and fishing spots.

As a gateway to fun and adventure, the new Toondah Harbour will have something for everyone while contributing to a long-term and sustainable future for the Redlands Coast.
