Talk Toondah Sessions
July - August 2020
You are invited to join us for our series of Talk Toondah sessions.
What are the Talk Toondah sessions?
The Talk Toondah sessions provide an opportunity for you to ask questions of the consultants undertaking the technical assessments for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that is currently being prepared for the proposed Toondah Harbour development.
Each Talk Toondah session will be held online using Zoom. Each session will be facilitated by the independent community engagement consultants leading the engagement process for the EIS.
You can register for as many sessions as you would like to attend—You can register for one session or all six sessions, depending on the topics you are interested in.
How do I register to attend?
Step 1: Watch the videos
The following videos introduce the consultants who are leading the technical assessments and environmental studies. Each video explains the consultant’s role in the project and the work they are doing as part of the EIS. Please watch the videos. They will help you to decide which sessions you are interested in attending.
There are also videos from Dr Paul Greenfield and Leisa Prowse. Dr Paul Greenfield, from the International Water Centre, is the Chair of the Independent Advisory Panel that is providing independent advice and oversight of the EIS process. This Panel adds a further level of rigour into the EIS process. Dr Greenfield’s video discusses the role the Panel plays in working with the EIS consultants to ensure the project is driven by the best science.
Leisa Prowse is the consultant leading the community and stakeholder engagement for the draft EIS.
Step 2: Register
When you know which session, or sessions, you would like to attend, please click on the Register Here button. This button is below the video for each session.
You need to register for each session that you are interested in. There is a different registration portal for each session. Clicking the button under the video will take you to the session related to that video.
Step 3: Submit your questions
Within the registration process you will be prompted to submit any questions you have in relation to the specific Talk Toondah topic. Don’t worry if you don’t have any questions now: you will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the session.
