Talk Toondah Sessions
July - August 2020
Over two weeks in July and August 2020, the first series of Talk Toondah sessions took place.
What are the Talk Toondah sessions?
The Talk Toondah sessions provided an opportunity for community members to ask questions of the consultants undertaking the technical assessments for the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) that is currently being prepared for the proposed Toondah Harbour development.
Due to social distancing requirements with COVID-19, each Talk Toondah session, in our first series of sessions, was held online using Zoom. Each session was facilitated by the independent community engagement consultants who are leading the engagement process for the EIS.
People were able to register for as many sessions as they were interested in—whether that was one session or all six sessions.
Those who registered for the sessions were able to submit their questions and watch as the consultant’s answered their questions live.
If you missed the Talk Toondah sessions, you can watch the recordings of the sessions below.

- Recordings of the six Talk Toondah sessions
- An interview with Dr Paul Greenfield, from the International Water Centre, who is the Chair of the Independent Advisory Panel, which is providing independent advice and oversight of the EIS process, and adding a further level of rigour to the EIS process
- An interview with Leisa Prowse, the consultant who is leading the community and stakeholder engagement for the draft EIS.
Were there any questions that weren’t answered during the sessions?
During the Talk Toondah sessions there were some questions that were asked by community members that we weren’t able to answer in the time we had. These questions, along with answers to these questions, can be found underneath each Talk Toondah session recording.
