Sun and sand at Toondah Harbour!
Redland Coast’s first ever beach park is coming to the shores of the new Toondah Harbour! Summer holidays in the Redlands never looked so good.
You and your family will be able to avoid the long commute to the Coast and enjoy a staycation at home, with a world-class beach playground on our doorstep in Cleveland.
A delightful stretch of sandy beach and parklands will be a key feature of the revitalised Toondah Harbour, perfect for beach cricket, volleyball, or a family picnic by the water.
The beach park will also create a new play and picnic area in front of the magnificent pine and fig trees within GJ Walter Park, including new play equipment, BBQ shelters, pathways, and seating.
Urban Designer Craig Addley, who grew up in the Redlands, said Toondah Harbour’s beach park would be part of the area’s transformation into a world-leading waterfront destination for residents to enjoy, play and connect with friends and family.
“I have such fond memories growing up in the Redlands but you had to head up or down the coast for the day at the beach,” he said.
“Summer holidays will never be the same again in the Redlands, thanks to Toondah Harbour’s proposed beach park. Bring your cricket ball and bat, esky and picnic rug and enjoy great times at overlooking the beautiful Moreton Bay.
“Toondah Harbour is a multi-generational project and one of biggest projects in the history of the Redlands.”
The new Toondah Harbour beach park will be a valuable community asset and a wonderful waterfront location where friends and family can experience the best the Redlands Coast has on offer.
